Break, Dawn, on a new land! In your wake lies a long night of tearful melodies, fevered dancing and tales from distant lands. Break, Dawn, to bring new Song, bathing it in sunlight from East and West. Welcome, new day!
Ajde Zora were formed in 2012 when five Italian musicians met Serbian singer Milica Polignano. Their original idea was to perform an ecstatic repertoire of Balkan music, but this gradually changed as they expanded their horizons, becoming influenced by the gypsy music tradition of Eastern Europe. The group comes from a vastly diverse range of musical backgrounds, yet they have combined their talents to transmit gipsy music’s energy and passion to an increasingly wider audience, blending it with modern sounds in what, over the years, has become an energizing, spelling-binding show.
